Alistair is part of our local government and planning law team, acting for both applicant and council clients. Alistair’s practice predominantly comprises litigation and advice work for private clients in development appeals including acting as solicitor advocate.
Alistair worked at the Land and Environment Court during his legal studies. During this time, Alistair worked in various roles through the registry as well as doing work for various Judges and Commissioners of the Court. This role required Alistair to be familiar with all classes of the Court’s jurisdiction.
Alistair has had ongoing involvement with Young Lawyers and was the Chair of the Environment and Planning Law Committee in 2018. He is now the Young Lawyers representative on the Law Society Environmental Planning and Development Committee. Alistair has also regularly contributed to the Environmental Law Reporter.
Through his studies, Alistair also gained valuable experience working in other areas of the law including regional practice (family, conveyancing, personal injury), legal aid (criminal) and work as a tipstaff at the Industrial Relations Commission.
Outside of work Alistair enjoys any sport with a ball (except the American ones). He plays Aussie rules, soccer and golf socially. He’s also a keen music and film fan.
