Compensation for Compulsory Acquisition of Land

  • Acted for a property owner in Class 3 proceedings in the Land and Environment Court claiming compensation for the compulsory acquisition of his property for the “Wynyard Walk” project. 
  • Acted for a council in Class 3 proceedings in the Land and Environment Court arising out of council’s compulsory acquisition of land for a park at Cronulla. We were successful in arguing that compensation should be limited to that determined by the Valuer General. 
  • Acted for individual property owners in claims for compensation arising out of proposals to acquire land for the North West Rail Link, WestConnex and Sydney Metro.

Wills and Probate

  • Administered large estate of deceased widow who left residuary estate to charities, maximising sales of real estate and minimising Capital Gains Tax to enable maximum benefits for the residuary beneficiaries.

Strata Title

Company Title

  • Advised owner of company title residential flat building situated at South Steyne in respect of refurbishment, construction of additional units and conversion of building from company title to strata title.

Contract for Sale/Subdivision/Easements

  • Advising Clarence Valley Council on redevelopment of large car park in Maclean CBD to a supermarket development. Advice included:
    • Preparing an expression of interest document with attached draft contract.
    • Advising in relation to responses.
    • Preparing tender documents.
    • Drafting project-related special conditions for contract of sale and advising on subdivision, easements and contamination issues.
