  • Advised and drafted amendments for the board of a company title heritage listed property in relation to prospective amendments to the company’s constitution to enable renovations to individual flats within guidelines adopted by the company. 
  • Represented Willoughby City Council in proceedings commenced in the Supreme Court Commercial List involving a substantial commercial dispute with aspects of construction, planning and relief against forfeiture of leases. The matter was successfully resolved at mediation involving a multi-million dollar payment to Council to cover costs and damages to Council and an agreement to vary the existing lease to accommodate future construction on the sites. 
  • Contractual dispute regarding ownership and operation of an aged care facility and entitlement to company shares including estoppel issues: Smith v Wikramanayake [2007] NSWSC 136.
  • Successfully enforcing directors’ and officers’ insurance cover for a senior executive of a construction company alleged to have engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct: 470 St Kilda Road Pty Limited v Robinson [2013] FCA 1420.
  • Successfully defending a claim for return of an aged care accommodation bond brought against the financiers of the aged care facility: Ryan and Briggs v Wikramanayake [2013] NSWSC 1171
